The study also found out that there is a significant relationship between principals‘, teachers‘, parents’ and students’ perception on the influence of home academic culture on students’ academic performance and actual students’ academic performance. It was further established that there is no significant relationship between principals‘, teachers‘, parents’ and students’ perception on the influence of parental marital status on students’ academic performance and actual students’ academic performance. The study recommended that the Ministry of Education and the policy relevant to the state body needs to make policies that will improve the social welfare of the parents. The study also recommends that parents should control their children‘s use of mobile phones and foster productive communication. The government should strive to reduce unemployment rates among parents and also sensitize parents and stakeholders in education on the importance of education. Parents should be sensitized on the importance of holding together in the family and shunning violence. en_US
